Shin Megami Tensei III reissue: Nocturne will not be able to produce more than 30 frames / s, even on PC
A staff member of the RPG Site portal Josh Torres in his microblog drew attention to a not very pleasant technical feature of the PC version of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster.
As it became known thanks to Torres, the upcoming re-release of the Japanese role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne will function on PC (Steam) only at 30 frames per second.
“Touched a bit the upcoming port of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, which is coming to Steam. I regret to report that [the game] is really tied to 30 fps, ”wrote Torres.
As evidence, the journalist attached a two-minute video to his post (available at the link above) of the Steam version of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster.
IGN noted that the restriction of 30 frames / s in the next release might be due to the technical features of the games of yesteryear, which were built around a particular frame rate.
The matter was not limited to one video from Torres: large portals like Game Informer also arranged their own impressions of the reissue. At least the game is showing consistent performance.
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster will be released on May 25 on PC (Steam), PS4, and Nintendo Switch. In yesterday’s trailer, viewers were introduced to the adherents of the three Principles, following which the in-game world can be rebuilt.
