Smartphone-book Microsoft Surface Duo showed high performance in Geekbench

The launch of the Microsoft Surface Duo Android smartphone with two screens is approaching on September 10, so it should come as no surprise that more details are revealed about this device. This time the device was tested in the Geekbench benchmark, where it showed quite good results.

Surface Duo differs from most smartphones in that it has two screens. Its hardware “filling” corresponds to the flagship Android-smartphones of last year. It is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, which continues to be a relevant solution that can provide a high level of performance.

As for the test itself, the Surface Duo scored 762 points in single-core mode and increased to 2867 points in multi-core mode. This Surface Duo test was the first to be seen on the Internet. The aforementioned results were obtained when testing a smartphone with a Snapdragon 855 processor with a base operating frequency of 1.78 GHz, as well as 6 GB of RAM.

It’s worth noting that the Surface Duo scores better than smartphones with flexible displays. For example, the first generation Samsung Galaxy Fold, equipped with the same Snapdragon 855 processor and 12GB of RAM, scored 2663 points in multi-core testing. The Surface Duo also significantly outperformed the Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola Razr, which scores slightly above 1500 points in multi-core mode. At the same time, the Microsoft device failed to come close to the result of the iPhone 11, which is gaining more than 3500 points in multi-core mode.
