AMD already has a patch for Epyc
A new vulnerability was discovered in AMD processors, which they called Zenbleed. It was discovered by Google Information Security specialists.
Some AMD processors will be vulnerable before the end of the year.
Zenbleed affects AMD processors based on the Zen 2 architecture in all variants. That is, first of all, these are Ryzen 3000 desktop CPUs, but also Epyc Rome, Ryzen Threadripper 3000 and others. The vulnerability allows stealing protected information from the processor, such as encryption keys and user logins. At the same time, the attack does not require physical access to a computer or server and can even be performed via javascript on a web page.
This probably also applies to the PS5, Xbox Series and Steam Deck game consoles, but there are no details here.
AMD already has a patch for server CPUs, but, unfortunately, consumer CPUs will receive fixes only in November and December.
