Sony has resolved the PlayStation 5 download queue bug, but there are still a lot of problems waiting to be fixed

At launch, the PlayStation 5 upset buyers with problems, including a database restore bug (which can lead to system breakdown) and games stuck in the download queue (which requires a factory reset). However, the latest software update seems to have fixed the last issue.

Despite the fact that the PlayStation 5 software update released a couple of days ago did not fix the error with restoring databases, at least a solution appeared with a stuck download queue. As Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed on Twitter, the user needs to restart the console in safe mode and then manually restore the database.

Unfortunately, there are still many issues with the PlayStation 5 software that haven’t been fixed in this update. Users continue to complain that the system downloads two versions of the game at once (for PS4 and PS5) – at best, you simply won’t notice that you are launching a version with previous-generation graphics, at worst, you will get an error at launch.

In some cases, users have reported that games are deleted on the PlayStation 5 drive after they remove the disc from the drive. So, every time gamers have to install the product and download updates. This and much more are still awaiting fixes.

But a solution to error CE-107863-5 was found. It manifests itself if, for some reason, during the installation of the disc version of the project on the PlayStation 5, you lose your Internet connection. The process is simply interrupted, and the console generates an error.

To fix it, you need to disconnect the console from the Internet and uninstall the game you are trying to install. Then insert the disc and wait for the installation to complete. And only after that, you can reconnect to the Network.

The PlayStation 5 went on sale in Russia and many other countries around the world yesterday.
