The insides of the PlayStation 5 showed up in the photo: Sony had to use two coolers at once

An image from the upcoming 142 issues of How It Works magazine has surfaced on Twitter. It shows the internal structure of the PlayStation 5 with the location of all major components. The original source has already deleted the picture, but it managed to spread across the web.

The leaked image shows the motherboard that houses the main components in the center of the PS5’s inner shell, which is painted black. Fans are adjacent to it on both sides, which are responsible for cooling. If you believe the picture, they will be quite large, but it is still difficult to say how effective the heat removal mechanism will be in practice. Previously, Sony has already stated that the large size of the PlayStation 5 is connected with the heating of the components. It took a lot of space to dissipate the heat generated.

The picture also shows a separate heatsink that is responsible for cooling the CPU and GPU. You can also see in the image where the CPU and SSD will be located.

It is important to note that so far there has been no official confirmation of the submitted internal structure. Sony has so far demonstrated only the external design of the PlayStation 5. But if we assume that the image is true, then before the release of 142 issues of How It Works, the public will be shown the internal architecture of the console.

In the meantime, fans have already carefully examined the merged picture and compared the motherboard with the one in the PlayStation 3. The similarities are immediately noticeable.

The PS5 launch will take place during the 2020 holiday period, the exact date is not yet known.
