The launch of the Dragon cargo ship was carried out by the space company SpaceX. It launched from the spaceport at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 20:28 local time on November 9, 2023 (04:28 Moscow time on November 10). The journey to the ISS took about 33 hours and the Dragon cargo capsule docked at the station at 05:08 US East Coast time on November 11 (13:08 Moscow time). Interestingly, the docking took place approximately 14 minutes earlier than planned.

Dragon brought fresh supplies and scientific materials to the ISS – about 3 tons of cargo in total. Among the 2,950 kg of cargo delivered were materials for a NASA scientific experiment called AWE to study gravitational waves in the Earth’s atmosphere and the ILLUMA-T project to test high-speed laser communications in orbit. Dragon also delivered holiday treats to the ISS for astronauts, including pumpkin spice cappuccino, turkey and cranberry sauce.

If all goes according to plan, Dragon will spend about a month on the ISS. The ship will then return to Earth with a cargo weighing 1,724 kg.
