JBL Flip 5 Eco sales should begin in the coming months
On the occasion of International Mother Earth Day, which the UN General Assembly decided to celebrate on April 22, Harman timed the release of a particular version of the portable speaker JBL Flip 5 Eco. Its distinguishing feature is its widespread use in the construction of recycled plastic. More precisely, this is the first Harman portable column, the plastic parts of which are 90% recycled.
The manufacturer offers two colour options for the product. The speakers are packed in environmentally friendly packaging, including a protective case made of biodegradable materials.
According to Harman, the company’s specialists have been conducting research and experiments for many months to find the right materials and technologies for the device that comply with the 3R1D principle (recycle, re-use, reduce and degradable – “recycling, reuse, reduction and decomposition”). At the same time, they could not worsen the performance of the column, “while maintaining the high-quality standards that JBL is famous for.”
Sales of the JBL Flip 5 Eco should begin in the coming months.
