Speedrunner managed to run the first level of Hitman 3 in just 8 seconds
No sooner had the social stealth action game Hitman 3 hit the market than speedrunners from all over the world began to “target” the new creation of IO Interactive. The first successes were not long in coming.
The most popular among fans of high-speed passes, according to the Speedrun portal, are currently used by individual levels – in particular, the introductory mission in Dubai.
Swedish speedrunner Goron, for example, managed to complete this task in just 8 seconds, surpassing the achievement of previous record holders – Wreak and Der_Lauch_Linus – by a full second.
The trio used the same tactic: to draw the attention of one of the victims with a shot into the fence, then eliminate both targets with well-aimed headshots and leave the location in the elevator.
It is worth noting that the speedruns Goron, Wreak and Der_Lauch_Linus belong to the Any% category, which implies that the streamer uses any means not prohibited by the community to reach the final.
Hitman 3 is already running fast as a whole (11 minutes and 44 seconds performed by Luddanstar ), but Hitman (4 minutes and 57 seconds) and Hitman 2 (4 minutes and 9 seconds) are still far from the speed records.
Hitman 3 was released on January 20 on PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch (in the cloud), and Google Stadia. The digital launch of the game has been the most successful in the series’ history.
