8-core Ryzen 7 5800X – on par with 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X

We have already provided detailed performance data for the flagship 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor in the SiSoftware benchmark , but now we offer you a look at the performance graphs of its younger brothers – Ryzen 5 5600X and Ryzen 7 5800X. Here, too, is interesting and indicative.

6-core vs 8-core ryzen

The 6-core Ryzen 5 5600X bypasses the 8-core Intel Core i9-9900K in performance, while it is one and a half times cheaper

Unfortunately, the details of the Ryzen 5 5600X and Ryzen 7 5800X benchmarks have disappeared from the SiSoftware website. Apparently, they were removed before the official start of CPU sales, but the most important graphs – overall performance – have been preserved on the Web. One thing follows from them: both the 6- and 8-core models have noticeably increased in speed, which makes them look like a better alternative to competitors than their predecessors. Simply because AMD’s new CPUs have taken a big step forward, while Intel prefers to take small steps.

Ryzen 5 5600X demonstratively bypasses both its predecessor and the eight-core Core i9-9900K. At the same time, the question of price difference is not at all here: AMD CPU – $ 300, Intel CPU – from $ 488. As for the performance of the Ryzen 7 5800X, it has also seriously improved and is approximately at the level of a 12-core CPU on the Zen2 architecture – the same Ryzen 9 3900X.
