The Tesla Model Y’s basic modification for $ 41,990 is content with rear axle drive and a single electric motor. In contrast, the older ones are offered in a twin-engine configuration with all-wheel drive. The new Model Y is just a few hundred dollars more expensive than the Tesla Model 3 sedan but offers a more practical and popular body style. The rear-wheel-drive Tesla Model Y, now ordered in the US, will have to wait two to five weeks for buyers.

At the same time, Tesla Model Y buyers have the opportunity to order a third row of seats for $ 3,000 for any crossover configuration, except for the most expensive. This turns the crossover into a seven-seater to fold the two rear rows to a level floor using an electric drive.
