Resource LetsGoDigital reports that the description of the device has been published on the website of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The patent images give an idea of an unusual device that features a camera system.

The front of the smartphone is completely covered by a frameless screen, which has neither a hole nor a cutout. The selfie camera can be hidden directly behind the display.

A system of paired cameras is located at the back. Dual flash units are installed in each of the four corners on the rear of the case. Thus, a total of eight cameras and four flashes are involved.

Unfortunately, technical details were not disclosed. Perhaps the unique camera system will be used in virtual or augmented reality applications. In any case, Lens Technology does not say when such a smartphone may appear on the commercial market.
