The creative director of Season’s pre-apocalyptic adventure didn’t rule out the release of the game on PS4

The creative director of the Canadian studio Scavengers, Kevin Sullivan, in an interview with Wccftech spoke about the difficulties of development in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the possibility of expanding the platform geography of Season.

Let us remind you that Season is an “atmospheric adventure on a bicycle”: the main character needs to study the world around her until it disappears in the heat of the impending apocalypse. For everything about everything – only one season.

As part of The Game Awards 2020, it was announced that Season is intended for PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5, but Sullivan does not rule out the possibility of the project being released on Sony’s previous generation consoles.

“We’re focused on getting the most out of the PS5, but we’re not giving up on the prospect of a PS4 release of [Season],” Sullivan said.

When it comes to dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Scavengers have a hard time switching to remote mode. Sullivan did not go into details but be assured that the pre-apocalyptic environment of the game is not related to what is happening in the real world.

“We had a plan and storyline for [Season] for quite some time now, so this is not a response to the events of this year. However, in a sense, the game now seems a bit more relevant, ”said Sullivan.

It was reported at The Game Awards 2020 that Season doesn’t even have an estimated release date yet. Sullivan also confirmed this information in an interview with Wccftech: the team is not yet ready to announce any terms.
