As a reminder, Pikmin 3 disappeared from the virtual shelves shortly after the announcement of Pikmin 3 Deluxe – an expanded and improved edition of the game for Nintendo Switch – in early August of this year.

As noted in Delisted Games, the return of Pikmin 3 to the eShop assortment took place at the end of last month: in the British segment, the game reappeared on sale at least on August 20, and in the North American segment on August 24.

From the information above, it follows that the Wii U version of Pikmin 3 has been in oblivion for only two weeks. What was the reason for the withdrawal of the project from the eShop catalog is unknown.

It was assumed that the decision was due to the pricing policy of Nintendo: the original Pikmin 3 is sold in the eShop for 1,749 rubles ($ 20), while the Pikmin 3 Deluxe costs two and a half times more – 4,499 rubles ($ 60).

Despite the return of Pikmin 3 to the Nintendo eShop catalog, Delisted Games says it is highly likely that the game will be withdrawn from the market again (shortly before the release of the remaster or shortly after).

Pikmin 3 Deluxe will be released on October 30 this year exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The re-release will offer improved graphics compared to the original, a co-op mode, a new prologue and epilogue, and gameplay improvements.
