Meanwhile, in the popular Geekbench benchmark, the mysterious Sony A smartphone “lit up.” It is indicated that it is based on the Qualcomm SM4350 chip. This cipher hides a Snapdragon 480 processor, combining eight cores with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz, an Adreno 619 graphics accelerator, and a Snapdragon X51 5G cellular modem. The test indicates the presence of 6 GB of RAM. The operating system is Android 11.
It is not yet clear under what name Sony A will enter the commercial market. It has been speculated that this could be one of the Xperia Compact variants or Xperia Ace 2.
