Network sources published new information about two upcoming Sony smartphones at once: in particular, there was data on the memory configuration of the flagship device Xperia 1 III.
The named device is credited with having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, a 6.5-inch 4K OLED display, and cameras with three image sensors and a 3D ToF sensor. Mentioned are a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot, and USB Type-C port.
It is reported that Sony will offer modifications to the Xperia 1 III, equipped with 12 and 16 GB of RAM. In this case, buyers will be able to choose between versions with a flash drive with a capacity of 256 and 512 GB.
Meanwhile, in the popular Geekbench benchmark, the mysterious Sony A smartphone “lit up.” It is indicated that it is based on the Qualcomm SM4350 chip. This cipher hides a Snapdragon 480 processor, combining eight cores with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz, an Adreno 619 graphics accelerator, and a Snapdragon X51 5G cellular modem. The test indicates the presence of 6 GB of RAM. The operating system is Android 11.
It is not yet clear under what name Sony A will enter the commercial market. It has been speculated that this could be one of the Xperia Compact variants or Xperia Ace 2.
