Xiaomi and Redmi are expected to please users again
Users of various models of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Poco smartphones have already gained access to the beta version of the Android 11 operating system, but many will be able to try out the latest version of Android only after its final release.
The final version of Android 11 is expected on September 8.
At yesterday’s Hey Google smart home device summit, a video was posted that showed the next slide. It, presumably, indicates the launch date of the stable version of Android 11.
The slide has the title “Checklist for launching Android 11 on September 8th.” The stable version of Android 10 was launched on Tuesday, September 3, last year. September 8 this year also falls on Tuesday.
It’s too early to say which phones will receive a stable update on the first day, except for the Google Pixel line. Essential no longer makes phones, and the PH-1 received its latest update in February. Xiaomi and Redmi are expected to please users again by releasing the final version of Android 11 for some smartphones on the day the stable version of the operating system is released.
