EA and BioWare announced during The Game Awards not only a new game in the Dragon Age series but also showed a trailer for the next part of the fantastic Mass Effect series, which has a multi-million army of fans.
The first trailer for the new Mass Effect
The cinematic trailer shows a flyby through the Milky Way, a destroyed space station, and a character walking on a snowy planet. This character is believed to be Dr. Liara T’Soni from the original Mass Effect trilogy.
Fans speculate that the new game will move away from the storyline of Mass Effect: Andromeda, the final installment of the series, and return to its roots. Like the aforementioned new part of Dragon Age, this project in the Mass Effect universe does not yet have a final name.
BioWare has confirmed that the new Mass Effect is being built by a “team of veterans,” so fans can look forward to a really fun and exciting adventure.
We have a lot more options for the Mass Effect universe, and while there is a long runway ahead of us before we’re ready to show you more, we hope the teaser sets the right tone. The teaser is full of hints on what we are planning and we hope you enjoy them.
BioWare is also developing a remaster of the original Mass Effect trilogy, slated to launch in Spring 2021 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
