This E-class is not much different from the S-class
The new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class was officially presented in China. The specificity of the model for the local market is the stretched wheelbase: it was 3094 mm – 133 mm more than the European or American versions.
Accordingly, the dimensions of the machine have also increased; they are 5092 × 1880 × 1493 mm. It should be noted that the limousine looks proportional and harmonious: there was no insert in the area of the B-pillar – they simply lengthened the body and rear doors.
The latest Mercedes-Benz E-Class was turned into a limousine 5.1 m long.
The equipment has everything that can be: the proprietary MBUX media system with three screens on the front panel the latest single-chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 system, top-end Burmester High-End 4D Surround acoustics, like the S-Class, and 360° atmospheric lighting, the lights of which can flash to the beat of the music. The back of the rear seat can be reclined to an angle of up to 37° (of course, not manually, but using an electric drive), and the legs can be fully extended forward due to a special stand.
Mercedes is still silent about the sedan’s units, but the Chinese Ministry of Industry has already revealed this data: the E-Class on the Chinese market will be offered in two versions – E 260 L and E 300 L. Both with a 2-liter M254 turbo engine, but in the first case the power is 204 hp, in the second – 258 hp. Prices will be announced towards the end of the year.
