The result is very expected

A couple of weeks ago, AMD introduced the Ryzen 3000XT processors – accelerated models of the Ryzen 3000 line. Among them was the Ryzen 5 3600XT – a six-core CPU with SMT support and frequencies of 3.8-4.5 GHz versus 3.8-4.4 GHz in Ryzen 5 3600X.

The latest Ryzen 5 3600XT vs Core i5-10400. Who is faster in games?

And today we can take a look at the first relatively voluminous test of this processor. Yes, and in comparison with the Core i5-10400, although these CPUs are not yet direct competitors.

In this case, testing was carried out exclusively in games, so the results will not be expected to differ much.

As you can see, the Intel processor won seven out of nine games, but in none of the nine cases did any of the CPUs provide significantly greater performance – the difference sometimes is less than 1%.

Considering that Core i5-10400 is much cheaper than the opponent in terms of recommended prices ($ 190 versus $ 250), it looks more interesting directly for games. However, firstly, the Ryzen 5 3600 / X can be taken for about the same money as the Core i5-10400, secondly, in most non-gaming tasks, any of the mentioned AMD CPUs will be much faster, and thirdly, in games, as we see, the difference is sometimes at the level of error.
