These laptops will appear in March 2023
AMD today unveiled the new Ryzen 7000 mobile processors , and now there’s more information about the Ryzen 7040HS series.
These mobile processors are manufactured using a 4nm process, using the Zen 4 architecture and RDNA3 GPU. AMD’s official website also revealed that the AMD Ryzen 7040HS series mobile processors support up to 256 GB of RAM, while the previous generation Ryzen 6000HS series only supported 64 GB. In terms of memory type, AMD Ryzen 7040HS processors support DDR5-5600 and LPDDR5x-7500.
AMD Ryzen 7040HS Key Features:
- R9 7940HS: 8 cores and 16 threads, up to 5.2GHz, 40MB cache, TDP 35-45W;
- R7 7840HS: 8 cores and 16 threads, up to 5.1GHz, 40MB cache, TDP 35-45W;
- R5 7640HS: 6 cores and 12 threads, up to 5.0GHz, 38MB cache, TDP 35-45W.
Notebooks equipped with Ryzen 7040 HS series processors will be available in March 2023.
