New firmware brings stability improvements
The Japanese company Nintendo released the first software update for the Wii U in about two and a half years.
The Nintendo Wii U console has been updated for the first time since 2018
Last update 5.5.3 was released for Nintendo Wii U on September 3rd, 2018. Firmware 5.5.5 is now available.
The list of changes is pretty quick – the update brings improvements to system stability, as well as other minor changes to improve user experience.
However, this is good news for Nintendo Wii U users, as the manufacturer abandoned the Nintendo Wii U and focused on the hugely popular Nintendo Switch. However, there are still a number of Nintendo Wii U exclusives, including The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and Xenoblade Chronicles X.
