More than any other card on the market

The Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card will hit the market next month. Of course, the problem of a terrible deficit is unlikely to pass it but now is not about that.

The Radeon RX 6900 XT has a crazy GPU frequency limit. BIOS limited to 3 GHz

The source managed to get hold of the BIOS of AMD’s flagship reference adapter, and it turned out that the maximum GPU frequency is indicated there as 3 GHz! For comparison, the Radeon RX 6800 XT is 2.8 GHz.

Of course, the card will not reach the maximum frequency without assistance, but the BIOS indicator indicates that 3 GHz can be achieved at overclocking. Of course, with extreme overclocking. It may be possible to overclock the GPU even more, but this will require a BIOS modification.

Recall that the Radeon RX 6900 XT is opposed to the GeForce RTX 3090. The former is much cheaper, while the latter offers significantly more memory. Unfortunately, most people will hardly be able to buy the RX 6900 XT shortly.
