Sources say the company will unveil this new flagship with a retractable display in March 2021. Even before that, the manufacturer will release a classic flagship in a monoblock case, which is codenamed The Rainbow and is the successor to the LG V series. A smartphone with a rollable screen, so far called B Project or LG Rollable.
Both devices are part of the LG Explorer project, under which the LG Wing rotator smartphone has already been released. The LG Rainbow is expected to go on sale in the first quarter of next year.
In total, LG plans to ship about 26 million smartphones this year and is aiming for growth next year. By the end of 2021, the company expects to sell about 30 million phones.
