The cloud version of Resident Evil 3 for Nintendo Switch spotted on the Control streaming launch site
It was recently announced that the action-adventure Control and the stealth action game Hitman 3 will be coming to Nintendo Switch as cloud projects. On the same site through which these games are launched, they found a hidden image of Resident Evil 3: Cloud Version.
A direct hint that Resident Evil 3 will arrive on Nintendo Switch in the future has been noticed by users on the ResetEra forum. With Nintendo announcing streaming versions of Control and Hitman 3 on the Switch, it’s only logical to expect more and more big games on a portable/stationary console.
The discovery of Resident Evil 3: Cloud Version doesn’t come as much of a surprise – Capcom had previously released Resident Evil VII: Biohazard Cloud Version in Japan. And in August, it was revealed that the Japanese publisher had abandoned direct ports of the games in the series to the Nintendo Switch, as the console was unable to reproduce them satisfactorily.
Apparently, Nintendo and studio Ubitus (which deals with cloud versions) are currently working with other companies to bring games to a hybrid console. According to Business Insider, “In addition to 505 Games, Unitus is currently partnering with numerous leading game developers to bring the best games to Nintendo Switch in the near future. “
Resident Evil 3 is currently available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
