The sales rate of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity slowed down considerably in 2021 – only 200 thousand copies in three months
Japanese publisher Koei Tecmo in its recent financial report mentioned the success in the market of the action game Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, presented in the genre of music (“one against a thousand”).
Recall that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity kicked off with a shock: in the first few days since its release at the end of November 2020, more than 3 million copies were sold, which ensured the title of the most popular release in the Warriors series.
Over the next month (until December 31, 2020), Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity added about 0.5 million copies to its result, and by March 31, 2021 – another 200 thousand.
Thus, since the premiere, the total shipments and digital sales of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity managed to reach 3.7 million copies.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity takes place a century before The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Link and Zelda need to gather an army of allies to save Hyrule and fight back the Calamity of Ganon.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity debuted on November 20, 2020, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. As a result of a recent price adjustment on Nintendo eShop, the digital version of the game has risen in price to 5399 rubles.
Throughout this year, buyers of a season ticket for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity are waiting for two sets of additional content: the first portion will be available in June, and the second – in November.
