Experts at Strategy Analytics have summed up the first quarter of 2020 in the tablet market. Noting the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the supply chain and consumer demand, analysts say that this market has shrunk “only 12%,” confirming the forecast of Strategy Analytics.

The crisis has affected manufacturers to varying degrees. Apple in annual terms reduced shipments by 3% so that its share for the year increased from 27.2% to 29.8%. Samsung’s runner-up cut shipments by 2%. The share of the South Korean electronic giant increased from 13.2% to 14.6%. Huawei cut shipments by 15%, so its share fell from 9.8% to 9.4%.
Next, come to Amazon and Lenovo. Amazon reduced supply by 9% over the year, so its share increased from 8.3% to 8.6%, and Lenovo was the only one in the top five to increase supply by 2%. Its share increased from 4.2% to 4.9%.
