Tuxedo Pulse 15 laptop features AMD Ryzen chip and Linux OS

Tuxedo Computers has announced the Pulse 15 laptop, built on the AMD hardware platform. The operating system is a Linux distribution – Ubuntu, OpenSUSE or Tuxedo_OS.

The laptop can carry a Ryzen 5 4600H (six cores; 3.0-4.0 GHz) or a Ryzen 7 4800H (eight cores; 2.9-4.2 GHz) processor. Supports up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 RAM.

Display with a diagonal of 15.6 inches has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The integrated Radeon RX Vega controller is busy with graphics processing. Through the HDMI 2.0 interface, the image can be displayed on an external monitor or TV.

A solid-state drive with a PCIe or SATA interface is responsible for data storage: the capacity of an SSD module can be up to 2 TB. There are Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless adapters, 2W stereo speakers, a backlit keyboard, a Gigabit Ethernet network controller, and an HD webcam.

Among the available connectors are USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C ports, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (× 2), USB 2.0 Type-A, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microSD slot. Dimensions are 356 x 234 x 17 mm, weight is approximately 1.5 kg.

The Tuxedo Pulse 15 Linux laptop can be purchased for an estimated price of 900 euros.
