Twitter allowed users to determine who can reply to their tweets
It became known that the social network Twitter has made public a new function, which has been tested on a limited number of users since May this year. This is a tool with which users can independently determine the circle of persons who will be able to reply to their tweets.
“ Sometimes people are more comfortable talking about what’s going on if they can decide who can respond to their messages. We’ve seen people use these settings in conversations that weren’t possible before. From now on, everyone will be able to use these settings so that unwanted responses do not interfere with meaningful conversation, ”- said in a message from the director of product management of Twitter Susan Xie (Suzanne Xie), which was published on the official blog of the company.
The new feature works quite simply. Before publishing a tweet, the user will be able to select the desired option, if necessary, limiting the circle of persons who can respond to its publication. By default, the suggested option is that anyone on the network can reply to the tweet. The other two options assume that only people the user is following, or those who are mentioned in the post, can respond to the post.
