Twitter is testing the ability to limit responses to published tweets.
Those users who entered the test selection, when creating a new tweet, can choose who can answer it:
- All users;
- The people they follow
- only people mentioned in the post using the @ icon.
If the user restricts the responses to a tweet, then other people will still be able to mark the post as liked or repost, but they will not be able to comment.
Twitter will also clearly indicate in tweets that the answers have been limited.
At the moment, access to the new function has received a small number of service users around the world.
