Twitter has added a Tip Jar feature with which users can financially support their favorite accounts

Twitter has begun rolling out a new Tip Jar feature in its iOS and Android apps that will allow users to send money to reward their favorite content creators. To use it, you need to click on the recently appeared icon in the form of a dollar bill next to the username.

Users who do not wish to receive donations will be able to disable Tip Jar for their account. The feature supports various payment options, including PayPal, Venmo, Patreon, Cash App, and Bandcamp. All English-speaking Twitter users can send financial incentives from today, but so far, only certain content creators, as well as journalists, experts, and non-profit organizations, can accept from.

It is noteworthy that Tip Jar can only be accessed by going directly to the user’s profile. This means that rewarding your favorite account for a really outstanding tweet will be much less convenient than just like or retweet it. Nevertheless, the social network promises to improve Tip Jar shortly, making it more functional and convenient.
