Ubisoft: Immortals Fenyx Rising Inspired By More Than The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Yesterday, Ubisoft introduced Immortals Fenyx Rising – an action-adventure game set in the entourage of ancient Greek mythology. It is very similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but in an interview with VGC, the developer noted that the team was inspired by other games, including from the Jak and Daxter and Banjo-Kazooie series.

Julien Galloudec, assistant head of development at Immortals Fenyx Rising, said that comparing the project with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is flattering, but in fact, the team was inspired not only by her but also by the action-adventure games of the early 21st century.

“Games like Jax and Daxter or Banjo-Kazooie were action-adventure action games set in a small open world filled with challenging platforming, combat, and puzzle games. We wanted to sort of rethink this formula and take it to the next level with technical knowledge and what we can do at Ubisoft Quebec, ”said Gallaudet.

The world of Immortals Fenyx Rising is really full of various challenges, which include battles, jumping on platforms with obstacles, and puzzles. The goal of Ubisoft Quebec, as Julien Gallaudek said, is to try to achieve the best balance by combining all of these aspects.

Immortals Fenyx Rising will go on sale December 3 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
