The Ultrastar DC ZN540 is designed with the next generation enterprise data center storage architecture known as Zoned Storage. This is not surprising when you remember that Western Digital is involved in the Zoned Storage Initiative and ZoneStorage.io, and in the NVMe Working Group that develops the ZNS specifications. The U.2 drive is available in capacities up to 8 TB. It features a high availability dual port NVMe controller… According to the manufacturer, the DC ZN540 “is a next-generation solid state drive ideal for multi-user environments and other data-driven applications such as event stream processing.” It is said to deliver 4x better performance and 2.5x better QoS compared to “conventional SSDs,” as well as improved efficiency, utilization and scalability, while lowering the total cost of ownership in public and private cloud infrastructures.

The IX SN530 is rated for temperatures ranging from -40 ° C to + 85 ° C and meets the durability and reliability requirements of an industrial SSD. It can be used in transportation, robotics, medical and military technology. Available in sizes M.2 2230 and M.2 2280, read speeds up to 2400 MB / s. It comes in sizes from 85GB to 2TB. Samples are now available that use TLC memory. SLC memory options will be added next January.

Finally, the 2TB WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD is aimed at content creators including graphic designers, animators, videographers, architects and software developers. It is already on sale for a suggested retail price of $ 250.
