Last year, Asus’ ROG division launched the Asus ROG Phone 3, dubbed the best smartphone for mobile gamers by some publications. Accordingly, the announcement of Asus ROG Phone 4 is expected this year. However, some Asian countries prefer to omit the number 4 in the names of their new products. The reason for the phobia is the pronunciation of the Chinese character for “four,” which sounds like “death.”
As for the technical characteristics, the details about them are still minimal. The only thing that can be said for sure is the presence of a single-chip system Snapdragon 888. It is also obvious that the new smartphone will receive a screen with an image refresh rate of at least 144 Hz, its predecessor.
It’s worth noting that Asus started preparing the public to release a new gaming smartphone unexpectedly early. Last year, the Asus ROG Phone 3 was only released in July.
