US authorities filed a lawsuit against Google for monopolizing the advertising market

A group of US attorneys general, led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, yesterday, December 16, filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google. In their opinion, the company is dishonestly taking advantage of its dominant position in the advertising market.

The prosecutor announced this in his video message, which he posted on his Twitter account. ” In fact, Google has eliminated all of its competitors and picked up the entire advertising market for itself, and also controls the pricing in it, ” – follows from his statement.

It is worth noting that Google, and other Internet giants, have recently been under the scrutiny of antitrust authorities. Recently it became known that a coalition of American states plans to accuse the search giant of having interfered with their competitors by changing the design of their service. Their antitrust lawsuit is expected to be filed as early as December 17, Thursday.

Both lawsuits follow a separate complaint from the US Department of Justice alleging that Google illegally maintains a monopoly on the search engine market and deliberately prevents competitors from entering the search bar of browsers and other channels.

Recently, complaints about Google have come not only from the United States but also from Europe. There, government agencies are unhappy with the way the company manages its resources by suppressing competition from other companies.
