The extension will go on sale by the end of 2021. For which platforms the addon is being prepared is not specified, however, the game has recently been available not only on PC, but also on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

What will be included in the set, the developers of Ion Fury did not tell? The announcement was limited to the publication of a minute teaser of the upcoming DLC: several locations were shown in the video to the energetic music.

Apparently, they are not going to disclose all their cards in Voidpoint on the eve of the release: as the users noticed in the comments under the post with the announcement, the video did not show a single new enemy or type of weapon

Ion Fury is a prequel to the not so successful 2016 Bombshell (43% on Metacritic ). However, the creation of Voidpoint has nothing in common, except for the main character, with that game.

In terms of gameplay and looks, Ion Fury most closely resembles Duke Nukem 3D and the original Shadow Warrior. This is not surprising: a heavily modified Build engine is beating in Ionic Rage’s chest.

Ion Fury was released on PC in August 2019 and reached the consoles listed above on May 14, 2020. The transfer to consoles was not easy for the developers: the first version of the game for the Nintendo Switch produced only 6 frames per second.
