Vivo was in the top five leaders in terms of global smartphone shipments in 2020
According to independent analytical companies (IDC, Omdia), Vivo entered the TOP-5 smartphone manufacturers in terms of shipments in the world market in 2020. In particular, IDC reported that global shipments of Vivo smartphones last year increased by 1.5% compared to the previous year.
According to analysts, Vivo’s share of the smartphone market was 8.6%, which allowed it to take 5th place in the global ranking. Vivo shipped 111.7 million smartphones in a year, up from 110.1 million units in 2019.
In the Russian market, Vivo also managed to take a confident position, wherein in the first half of 2020 the brand entered the top five in terms of smartphone shipments. The results can be attributed to both the surge in demand for flagship models and the growing popularity of budget models that offer consumers solutions that are optimal in terms of cost and functionality.
