Vivo was in the top five leaders in terms of global smartphone shipments in 2020

Vivo was in the top five leaders in terms of global smartphone shipments in 2020

According to independent analytical companies (IDC, Omdia), Vivo entered the TOP-5 smartphone manufacturers in terms of shipments in the world market in 2020. In particular, IDC reported that global shipments of Vivo smartphones last year increased by 1.5% compared to the previous year.

According to analysts, Vivo’s share of the smartphone market was 8.6%, which allowed it to take 5th place in the global ranking. Vivo shipped 111.7 million smartphones in a year, up from 110.1 million units in 2019.

In the Russian market, Vivo also managed to take a confident position, wherein in the first half of 2020 the brand entered the top five in terms of smartphone shipments. The results can be attributed to both the surge in demand for flagship models and the growing popularity of budget models that offer consumers solutions that are optimal in terms of cost and functionality.

Last year, the company unveiled its new flagship X50 series of smartphones, and then launched its own series of headphones, and announced a number of important projects.

A key strategic direction for 2021 was also formed: the company will focus on supporting an active lifestyle and will continue to offer its customers modern solutions for creating high-quality photo and video content so that users can express their emotions, share experiences, create and develop. The main project in this direction will be the support of the company of the Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 football championships. Vivo has signed a long-term project with UEFA, in addition to its previous contract with FIFA to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The new flagship Vivo X50 series immediately gained popularity among users after the announcement. The X50 Pro has a camera with the world’s first professional stabilization. 60x Hyperzoom is provided by a combination of Vivo’s unique zoom algorithm and a 5x telephoto zoom lens. The device also has Night Portrait and Astro Mode for night shooting.

The flagship model X50’s dual-lens camera offers 20x digital zoom with an advanced zoom algorithm. In total darkness, the Ultimate Night Mode automatically turns on, which uses an innovative AI noise reduction algorithm.

The new V20 Series is highly functional. The Vivo V20 features a 44MP front-facing camera with autofocus (AF) mode that delivers crisp selfies whether the user is holding a smartphone or using a selfie stick. The new tripod night mode improves stabilization and exposure. The smartphone is based on the 8nm high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor.

The V20 SE’s 48MP AI triple camera delivers high-quality photos, while the 16MP front camera captures the smallest details. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor keeps all your apps and games running smoothly and quickly. The smartphone also supports NFC technology.

Both models support 33W FlashCharge, which recharges the battery up to 65% in just 30 minutes.

the Y Series smartphones are aimed at young audiences who need a practical smartphone with an advanced camera for taking professional photos and a powerful battery to stay connected.

Featuring a 6.47-inch display, NFC support, and Type-C port, the new Y30 is elegant and thoughtful in every detail.

The Vivo Y20 features a 6.51-inch Halo FullView display, triple AI camera with macro support, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 5000mAh battery and features a special eye-protection mode that filters out harmful blue light, thereby reducing the strain on eyes.

The Vivo Y1s model, equipped with a 6.22-inch display and a 4030 mAh battery, runs Android 10. The body of the smartphone is made using innovative technology that adds a special texture to 3D curves and makes it pleasant to the touch.
