VR-shooter Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will require more than 340 GB to install
According to Polygon, which received a reviewer’s guide from Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment, the VR shooter Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will take up more than 340 GB of storage space when installed.
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is the first VR headset game in the franchise’s history. And it requires an incredibly powerful gaming PC. The requested technical characteristics of the systems are even higher than those of Half-Life: Alyx. Minimum system requirements include NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 and at least 170GB of storage space.
But Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond requires even more space during the installation process, with more than 340GB of storage space to download, unpack, and install the game files, according to the Polygon reviewers’ guide for the press event. The developer added that users do not need to maintain that much free space after the initial installation of the project, as future updates will not be as large.
Minimum system requirements:
- Intel Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz (or AMD equivalent);
- 16 GB DDR4;
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 11 GB or better;
- more than 340 GB of free disk space for unpacking / installation; 170 GB after installation; SSD or NVMe recommended.
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will be released on December 11 on Oculus VR and Steam, where it will be compatible with other VR headsets. The game includes a full single-player campaign, multiplayer modes, and a gallery with historical documents.
