Although the multiplayer shooter Overwatch is backward compatible on Xbox Series X and S, resolution and performance updates may be released. So, on these consoles, three modes appeared:

  • Resolution: This mode displays high-resolution images at the expense of a slight reduction in graphics quality (Xbox Series X: 4K @ 60fps, Xbox Series S: 1440p @ 60fps);
  • Balanced: This mode favors graphics quality for the price of resolution (Xbox Series X: 1440p @ 60fps, Series S: 1080p @ 60fps);
  • Frame Rate: This mode favors 120fps for the price of resolution and graphics quality (Xbox Series X: 1440p @ 120fps, Xbox Series S: 1080p @ 120fps).

It is now one of the few Xbox Series X and S games to play at 120fps. There are currently only 30 of them, including Borderlands 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Gears 5, and Sea of Thieves.

The PlayStation 5 still plays the game at 1800p, just like the PlayStation 4 Pro.
