XFX hinted at the imminent announcement of its own versions of the Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800

The closer the start of sales of video cards Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800, the more partners from AMD will announce their solutions based on them. One of them was the American company XFX, which specializes in the production of power supplies, motherboards, and AMD Radeon video cards.

In particular, the manufacturer posted a short promotional video on its Twitter page, showing the appearance of a model with the mysterious name Radeon RX 6800 XL. It is not clear what exactly it is, but we can assume that XFX just called its version Radeon RX 6800 that way. Or an error crept into the video, and it meant a Radeon RX 6800 XT card.

From the video, it becomes clear that the video card is equipped with a passive cooling system with three fans, as well as a through reinforcing backplate with figured perforation in the form of the XFX brand logo. This design is somewhat reminiscent of the THICC series from the same manufacturer, under which the Radeon RX 5000 series graphics cards were produced. It is quite possible that the manufacturer is going to replenish this series with new models based on the Navi 21 graphics processor.

When looking at the image, it is difficult to determine exactly how many auxiliary power connectors will be used by the new product from XFX. Based on the size of the visible cutout in the casing of the cooling system, we can assume that the presented version of the Radeon RX 6800 is equipped with two 8-pin additional power connectors, like all reference and non-standard versions of the Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800 from other manufacturers presented to date.

Recall that the Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800 in the AMD reference design will go on sale on November 18. Then their first full and independent reviews will appear. If you believe the latest leaks, the start of sales of non-standard versions of video cards from Radeon partners will take place on November 25.
