Xiaomi launches flagship Mijia 1T robot vacuum cleaner with lidar for $ 300

Xiaomi has begun accepting orders for the flagship robotic vacuum cleaner, the Mijia 1T, which boasts improved room mapping capabilities.

Mijia1T Vacuum Cleaner

The main feature of the novelty is a high-precision sensor system. One of its components is the ToF (Time of Flight) sensor, designed to obtain data on the depth of space. Apple calls a similar module in its devices lidar.

In addition, the vacuum cleaner carries on board two gyroscopes, optical sensors, and other sensors designed, in particular, to detect steps. It is argued that the implemented system allows increasing the accuracy of room mapping by five times in comparison with the devices of previous generations. This means that the new product will provide delicate and high-quality cleaning without collisions even with the smallest obstacles.

The Mijia 1T is powered by a brushless Japanese electric motor with a choice of four power levels. The volume of the waste container is 550 ml, the water tank is 250 ml.

The battery allows the vacuum cleaner to work without recharging for up to three hours. You can monitor the cleaning process in real-time via the smartphone app. In addition, voice control is supported.

Now you can order a new product at an approximate price of $ 300.
