It seems that Xiaomi is about to launch the Mi Band 5, a product that will have an important task, namely to collect the legacy of the most popular economic smart band on the market, Mi Band 4.
The device, which should correspond to the XMSH10HM code, would have received NCC certification: we have no absolute certainty that it is Mi Band 5, but the name of the previous models (XMSH07HM for Mi Band 4 and XMSH05HM for mi Band respectively 3) is more than a clue.
On the technical characteristics yet we can not be certain, but the rumours speak of an OLED display in colour by 1.2 inches, noticeably of the largest, measuring just 0.95 inches diagonally.
The rumours that spoke of the arrival of the Redmi Band also on the international market (currently marketed only in China), with the name of Xiaomi Mi Band 4C, seem to be confirmed. It would, therefore, be a very inexpensive smart band equipped with a 1.08-inch OLED display, HR sensor for the heartbeat, an autonomy that can go up to 14 days and a guaranteed waterproofness up to 5 ATM.
We still don’t know if it will also land on the European market, but if we have to put forward a hypothesis then the nature of the rebranding – which goes to associate the device with a successful product in our market like Mi Band 4 – makes us lean towards the yes.
