The company itself does not specify the deadline for the transfer of the main domain.
After the transaction between VK and Yandex is closed, the two services “News” and “Zen” will be transferred to VK. Together with them, the holding will also receive the yandex.ru page, which in the future will redirect visitors to the dzen.ru portal. In return, Yandex will receive from VK control over the Delivery Club, which VK retained after the “divorce” from Sberbank and the division of the assets of their joint venture O2O.
The transfer of the main page of yandex.ru is due to the fact that News and Zen are inextricably linked with the main page of Yandex – it is from there that both services receive the lion’s share of traffic. In addition, this page itself for the most part consists of the content of these two services.
“Search” of Yandex and links to its services (including “Mail” and a personal account “Yandex ID)” will move to ya.ru.
