Zenfone 8 will be the first ASUS smartphone with dust and water resistance
ASUS will soon unveil its new flagship smartphone Zenfone 8. The company is stirring up interest in the upcoming new product. In another tweet, ASUS announced that the upcoming flagship would receive dust and moisture protection according to the IP68 standard, which means that it can be immersed in water to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
Zenfone 8 will be the company’s first dust and water-resistant smartphone. Even though ASUS has been producing mobile phones and smartphones since 2005, none of these devices has been certified to protect against dust and moisture penetration into the case. Such an opportunity appeared because ASUS decided to abandon the design with a folding camera block, which could serve as both the main and the front module. It is reported that the Zenfone 8 will receive a front-facing camera embedded in the screen.
The ASUS Zenfone 8 series smartphones are expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. They are credited with OLED matrices with Fill HD + resolution. The most compact device in the series will be the Zenfone 8 mini, which boasts a 5.92-inch display and a 4000 mAh battery.
