The manufacturer did not specify which products will be released first
Commenting on the report for the first quarter, AMD confirmed that the development of processors based on Zen 3 architecture and GPUs based on RDNA2 architecture is on schedule. The first products based on Zen 3 and RDNA2 will be presented at the end of 2020.
AMD confirms that products on Zen 3 and RDNA2 architectures will appear at the end of 2020
The manufacturer did not specify which particular products will be released first. It is known that Zen 3 will serve as the basis for Epyc server processors under the code name Milan, Ryzen desktop processors (Vermeer), and Ryzen mobile APUs (Cezanne). It is expected that these processors will be released according to the improved 7-nanometer TSMC process technology – N7P or N7 +.
Regarding RDNA2, there is still evidence that this architecture is used in the embedded GPUs for semi-custom single-chip systems for the next-generation Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X consoles, which are expected to be released by the end of 2020. Mentioning the GPU in his message, the manufacturer probably means not embedded, but separate solutions designed for Radeon RX video cards or Radeon Pro accelerators.
