And the Core i3-10300, meanwhile, is positioned as a replacement for the Core i7-7700K

The AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3 3300X processors presented the other day are starting to appear in the tests, and they are doing very well at the same time: we have already compared the youngest of the risen and the Core i7-7700K, and now we have the opportunity to compare the Ryzen 3 3300X and Core i3-10300 – this Intel CPU will act as a kind of replacement for the once flagship model Core i7-7700K.

Both CPUs were tested in the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark, while the Ryzen 3 3300X scored 5395 points, and the Core i3-10300 – 5221 points. The difference is small, but it is – and this only applies to performance. But you also need to consider that, firstly, the Ryzen 3 3300X will be cheaper ($ 120 against the estimated $ 150 that Intel will ask for the Core i3-10300 when it officially debuts), and secondly, it will come with a processor cooler Wraith Stealth. In general, for less money, the user will get not only a little more productivity – and this is certainly nice.

As for the characteristics of these CPUs, they are as close as possible. Both CPUs are quad-core and support the execution of eight threads, frequencies – 3.8-4.3 GHz in the case of AMD and 3.7-4.3 GHz in the case of Intel. TDP is slightly higher for AMD CPUs (65 vs 62 W), but do not forget that Intel indicates TDP when the processor operates at the base frequency, in reality, the CPU consumes much more.
