He set a new record in Cinebench R20
AMD’s new flagship processor Ryzen 9 5950X conquers all new frequencies. Yesterday we wrote that overclockers managed to run it at 6.075 GHz , and today a new limit of 6.362 GHz is taken. At the same time, a performance record was set in the Cinebench R20 benchmark.
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core overclocked to 6.362 GHz
The record was set by an overclocker from Taiwan known as HICookie. The test system used a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master motherboard and Corsair RAM. Liquid nitrogen was used for cooling, and the core voltage almost reached 1.7V!
As for the result in Cinebench R20, it was 15 517 points. For comparison, the absolute benchmark record – 24,763 points – belongs to the 64-core Ryzen Threadripper, and the regular (not overclocked) Ryzen 9 5950X is gaining 10,428 points.
