Apple Shows What Happens to iPhone 12 Leather Case with Frequent MagSafe Charging
Leather cases for all iPhone 12 series models are now available in the Apple Store. Fearing users would start to complain that the MagSafe charger damaged their accessories, Apple decided to warn them and demonstrate the impact of using a magnetic charger on a leather case.
The last image in the illustrations of each leather case in the Apple Store shows how its appearance will change over time with regular use of the charger and other MagSafe accessories. After the release of silicone cases for the iPhone 12, many users began to notice that the magnetic charger left an imprint on them very quickly. An Apple support document later noted that MagSafe could leave marks on cases. Now the description of the Apple Leather Case explicitly states that interacting with magnetic accessories will leave a circular imprint on the case. Users who are concerned about this are advised to use a silicone or clear case.
Given that Apple has decided ahead of time to show how MagSafe will affect the cases, it can be assumed that the company expects many customers to face this problem. Leather Cases for all iPhone 12 Series models are available in blue, orange, brown, black, and red for RUB 5,990.
