From a smartphone or other device, you can check things like the fuel level in their car, lock the doors, find out how far away the car is, and so on.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay platforms have long supported smart driving functions. However, Google and Fiat decided to take these skills to the next level with the introduction of the Fiat 500 Family Hey Google car lineup with built-in Google Assistant voice assistant integration.

How it works is that users can ask any of their Google Assistant-enabled devices, such as a smart speaker with a Nest Hub screen or smartphone, to check things like the fuel level in their car, lock the doors, find out how far away the car is, and etc. To do this, users can simply say “Ok Google, ask my Fiat,” followed by a query.

The Fiat 500 Family Hey Google range also has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, so you can still have access to smart features while driving.

The collaboration between Fiat and Google is reflected in the design. Car doors and car seats have a dot pattern with Google colors. There is also a Hey Google badge on the outside of the car and a similar label sewn onto the side of the front seats.

The Fiat 500 Family Hey Google range, which includes the Fiat 500, 500X, and 500L models, will soon be available in 10 European countries: Italy, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland.
