AMD said this processor would only be available to system integrators for use in pre-built PCs.

The cheap 6-core AMD Ryzen 5 7500F processor went on sale in China at the end of July – as intended. But then AMD announced that outside of China, the CPU would only be available to system integrators for use in finished PCs. It’s only been three weeks since that announcement, and the Ryzen 5 7500F is already available at retail in Europe.

The CPU can be purchased from the major retailer Mindfactory in Germany, and the Future-X store sells CPUs in both Germany and Austria. Prices are the same – 202 euros. The Ryzen 5 7500F is also available to order in the US, retailer ShopBLT is asking for about $180 for the CPU.

Why AMD misinformed potential buyers in Europe and the US is unclear. In the Middle East and Asia, it is not uncommon for retailers to decide for themselves what to sell, regardless of what the manufacturer of a particular product thinks about it. But Europe and the US are a completely different matter, and without AMD’s knowledge, such large stores would not retail a processor intended exclusively for enterprise PC builders.

Recall that at a price of $ 180 (that’s how much it costs not only in the US, but also in China), the Ryzen 5 7500F is one of the most affordable AMD CPUs on the Zen 4 architecture for desktop PCs. The CPU runs at 3.7-5.0 GHz, has 6 MB L2 cache and 32 MB L3 cache.
