Corning supplies protective glass for Apple devices
According to a source, citing the words of a representative of the company Corning, which supplies, in particular, protective glass for screens of mobile devices, this manufacturer is conducting the final stage of testing a new glass intended for folding devices. This glass will become a commercial product in 2021.

The source suggests Samsung will be one of the first companies to use Corning’s new glass, although the South Korean manufacturer is currently purchasing glass from the German company Schott. He is allegedly trying to build a different supply chain by purchasing glass from Corning.
As for Apple, rumor emerged in mid-November that Apple was planning to release its first foldable screen device by the end of 2022. Apple is currently testing components to determine what type of display will be used in this device. If the choice is made for a foldable display rather than two separate displays or a roll-up display, Apple is likely to use Corning foldable glass as Apple has a long history of partnership with Corning.
