First problems with Sony PlayStation 5 and one fatal

One such fatal problem was reported by Jeremy Penter, known from his YouTube video channel ACG. However, it is worth noting that he published his complaint before open sales had started yet. The blogger said on his Twitter page that the console is “100% dead.”

Penter says that the “restore storage” bug that others have complained about led to the complete loss of functionality, but he got to the point where he started getting massive error messages, network connectivity issues, and sudden reboots. The blogger noted that he and Sony worked on fixing problems when the box stopped working altogether.

Shortly thereafter, Jeff Gerstmann, a journalist for GiantBomb, complained about a similar problem, which renders the console unusable. As it turned out, putting the console in rest mode while playing Spider-Man Remastered causes the entire system to crash, starting the process of “repairing an external disk”. Moreover, it was not a one-time failure, but a pattern repeated every time – recovery starts and everything ends with a black screen. Then the prefix “comes to life”, offers to send an error report and then boots in normal mode.
